LIGHT TOTEMS
In 2017 I was honored to be chosen as one of the Society of Arts and Craft's Artists of the Year, which included the award of a show at the SOC's new location in Boston's Seaport District.
Shown below are the lights I made for the exhibition. They are one-of-a-kind illuminated sculptures, made of hand-painted, scored-and-folded maple veneer.
The colors and patterns are a response to the shapes of the structures themselves, as well as references to iconic nautical and graphic design imagery.
